First, so sorry about the lack of pictures, we now have access to a computer but it's having some trouble allowing us to download photos. I know that that is one of the best parts so we'll try and get on it as soon as possible! (Everything is in Italian on the computer though so you have to give us credit for trying : ) ) yeah we got the pics up!!! But as for now to let you know what we are up to... We have finally left the crowded alleyways of Venice and took a uneventful train down south to Pescara, Italy. As we got closer we saw more and more beaches. Long ones with beautiful blue ocean stretching beyond. And finally we arrived at a midsized city/town with warm air and the smell of the sea to greet us. The views from all around we're gorgeous and funny enough reminded both of us the views from the YWAM base in Kona. We were able to stay with a beautiful Italian family on thier new Ywam base. They also had an older couple from Colorado staying with them mission building. It was wonderful being so near the ocean, and such a refreshment being with such beautiful people. Pescara first stop by the seaside! Italy
So now the vulnerability is setting in. Class was amazing... and some really cool people.... Some young girls that were so inspiring to know why you do this whole thing of traveling the world and making sure people have access to Access!! When we were in Pescara which everyone comments on how beautiful it is, I went for a walk along the seaside, and cried. There was so much rubbish (trash) on the sand and the water. There was no one swimming. Only looking from afar. The sea was dying. The land was dying. We were in about 6 earthquakes there. The earth is definitely speaking. I see that people are not communing with the earth, only observing and perceiving that they cannot make a difference. We can and we do. Have you ever heard the story about the little girl who was walking along the beach throwing the starfish that had been washed up on the sand and were dying back into the ocean? A man walks past and asks what are you doing? There are thousands of starfish washed up, you cannot possibly expect to make a difference? She picks up one starfish and throws it in the ocean and says "I did to that one!" What if it was time to start claiming the difference you BE, the difference you can invite people to. Is consciousness valuable to you?
