Kansas City International Airport, originally named Mid-Continent International Airport, is a public airport located 15 miles (24 km) northwest of the central business district of Kansas City, in Platte County, Missouri, United States. In 2008, 10,469,892 passengers used the airport. Currently the airport serves 49 nonstop destinations. Kansas City International has consistently ranked in the top 5 airports in J.D. Power and Associates North America Airport Satisfaction Study.
